Hello Everyone!
My name is Genevieve Cook and I am excited to be the School Counselor here at the Academy for Academic Excellence. I’m proud to be a part of our Lewis Center family since 2018. I hold both a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services credential from Azusa Pacific University. I hold six specialist designations from the American School Counselor Association in the areas of: College Admissions, Supporting Students with Special Needs, Closing the Achievement Gap, Mental Health, Career Development, and Legal & Ethical specialist. I am available to support all AAE students but my areas of focus are academic and social/emotional support for middle and high school students. I am available for academic planning, 1-on-1 short term social/emotional counseling, and small group counseling. My primary role is to support your child’s academic and social/emotional success as they navigate their way through middle and high school. I have an “open door” policy and welcome both parents and students to visit my office in the N building.
I can be reached by phone at (760) 946-5414 ext. 112 or by email at gcook@lcer.org. I look forward to working with you and your child!
