Perfect attendance is defined by the AAE as the student being present every day of the academic school year for at least ½ of the school day with any missed periods being excused. Eight tardies is equal to one absence.
AAE holds quarterly recognition drawings for students with perfect attendance.
The qualifications to be invited to the drawing is as follows:
Student must be present every day of the quarter for at least ½ of the school day with any missed periods being excused. Two tardies equal one absence, and disqualifies the student for the drawings.
